All of the blessings of this past year would fill a book, and
the future of Temple First Church of the Nazarene is a
bright one.  Let's continue to work together to build the
kingdom...winning souls for Jesus, and discipling them for
service... I believe in doing this, we keep the "main thing,
the main thing."

ONE GREAT CHALLENGE
Lord keep us unified as we build and grow, all to Your
glory, that our greatest years as a church family will be
those yet ahead of us.         Mark 3:24-25

Amber and I are so excited to be here serving,
leading, and growing with you in the ministry of music.
Our ministry is still focused heavily on leading us into a
personal experience of worship as we sing about our
Lord, and even more so as we sing directly to Him.

My father was the pastor, and my  job was to mow the
church lawn next door, in Miami, Fla. The yard was big,
and it was a pretty heavy task for a boy of thirteen with
a push mower.
I was working at the job one day when I heard
someone  calling my name. I looked around in all
directions, but there was no one within shouting
distance. I started on again, and again I heard my
name called, very quietly, yet very clearly.        My
breath seemed to stop.   In those still moments God
spoke:  "You are to preach My Word in ToriJon."

What is our purpose?  Why do we continue to work
weekly with our children?  As a church, and as a
children's department, we need to know
why we're
doing
what we're doing.

Carla and I are extremely excited to join the staff here
at Temple First. I am looking forward to leading and
growing with the Youth through study in God's Word and
a focus on prayer. I am also excited about what God is
going to do through and with the Family Life Center.
Youth remember 1 Timothy 4:12 says "Do not let
anyone look down on you because you are young, BUT
set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in
love, in faith, and in purity."  In His Service
